About Me

Interested in teacher professional development, student engagement, and collaboration.

I am an experienced teacher with classroom involvement in grades 6-12. The focus for my work - teaching and administrative- for the past several years has been at the intermediate level. I am particularly interested in engaging students in grades 7-10 in meaningful, challenging and fun lessons in all subjects, but particularly History and English, the two areas that I am fortunate to teach.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, it should not be surprising that I have a keen interest in both soccer (football) and political affairs. I am able to pursue these passions through coaching soccer, and teaching debate and public speaking at my school. Both endeavors have helped develop a sense of international mindedness as I have travelled the globe to various conferences and competitions. Working at an international boarding school has deepened my interest in global matters.

Entrusted with various administrative responsibilities over the years, I have grown as a person and as a professional through collaborative practices. In turn, I have shared my vision and experiences with colleagues in the interests of further developing an inviting, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
