Educational
Philosophy
“ We become better
professionals when we work together to improve student learning.”
Schools
with vision embrace both possibility and practicality. I believe that the potential
for a school is virtually boundless. As well, it is important to provide
stability in a school, especially at an institution focusing on the formative
grades of a child’s education. Ensuring that my school is an inviting place to
learn, teach, and work is fundamental to my educational philosophy. Trust,
respect, and optimism are the guiding principles of the administrative ethos I
subscribe to. In addition, I firmly believe that it is the role of the school
leader to twin personal qualities with institutional imperatives in the
following ways:
1.
Visionary- setting directions
2. Trust-
building relationships and developing people collaboratively
3.
Integrity- developing the organization
4.
Perspective- leading the instructional program
5.
Optimism- securing accountability through optimism
“Each day I have the opportunity to shape a
life; I choose to do so positively.”
